Burgoo

It is a cosy place. Really nice and friendly staff. The food is great. We loved the ceviche (which we forgot to take a picture of since we were so hungry), mashed potato and the mac and cheese.

I had the Mac & More. It was delicious. The smoked sausage was seriously smoked. I loved it in this dish

Food has always great. They were very busy so we had to wait a bit for our server but she was friendly when we did get her attention.

Amazing food and hardly anyone was there. My friend and I were looking for something to warm us up and their sandwich/soup combo definitely hit the spot. I had the butternut squash soup with the pulled pork sandwich, while my friend had the crab bisque soup with the pulled pork sandwich.

Very friendly staff. Soup and Sandwich is a must have. The menu changes by the season, so check on line if your fave item is there on not. Currently, Aug, 2019, they have the Mussels (Thursdays to Saturday’s only)

Great service and great food. A joint known for their comfort food, and they pretty much nail it everytime. Big fan of their chicken pot pie. A must try, loved the ambience as well.

We visited after exploring Stanley Park and taking the SeaBus across to North Vancouver this summer. We were seated outside without a wait and the food as well as service was impeccable. This place absolutely NAILS comfort food in a way that I haven't ever experienced before. We will be back!

Excellent food and drinks, timely service and good value for money!

Mediocre experience. Staff were friendly and happy, but they mixed up our order and it needed sorting out, then it needing sorting out again when the bill came. I found the portions pretty small to be honest. Good flavour but even the mac and cheese left me wanting more. Burgoo has fallen well behind in terms of quality and value. I no longer consider it a recommended stop.

Definitely a really nice, cozy place for comfort food. Had their cheese fondue and mac n cheese and they were so good! We also had their chocolate fondue for Valentine's day and it was also delicious. Definitely wanna go back again and would recommend it if you're thinking of trying this place out.

Loved the drinks and the service but sadly the food was just ok. The crab soup barely had crab in it and just tasted like tomato soup. The salad I couldn’t eat, but they refunded the money for it. Their mussels were good, but not the best I have had. They need more vegan options also. Too much dairy in almost everything.

Delicious but expensive. Always busy. Make a reservation. Great cocktails. Like really really really great. Outstanding service. Nice decor. Nice atmosphere. Music just at the right volume to block out strangers conversation and yours can remain private.

Great ambience. The food is fantastic. Great flavour and not too savoury. Can't go wrong with basically anything on the menu. I have yet to try something here that is sub par. I've been there multiple times. The staff are friendly and provides wonderful service. Seating is spacious and comfortable.

Mediocre experience. Our server handed us the wrong drinks (there were only two of us). We thought that was odd considering he just took the order minutes prior. We each got the 'After school special' and once again the server forgot who ordered what when he dropped them off. One of our soups were hot, while the other was room temperature. Both soups tasted pretty good. The sandwiches were nothing special.

Nice and cozy place to spend your lunch time :) There is soup+sandwiche combo you can order and it was just perfect lunch.

It's a real shame they don't have fries but there soups are almost good enough to make up for it. The service was okay but the sandwiches really were incredible. I don't know if the sodas aren't refillable or if our glasses were just missed, but they should be refillable if they are the size of a double shot glass.

Great soups, salads and sandwiches. Definitely try the biscuits. Can be pretty busy for lunch.

Good menu, good service. Comfy restaurant that fills up fast. Bar seating is the best if you're just 1 or 2.

Yummy comfort food we enjoyed as it was chilly outside. Great customer service. Cozy ambience. The patio was nice too but too bad I felt too cold to sit outside.

Macaroni and cheese originally came out cold, after waiting about 45 minutes for it, so I was understandably disappointed at first, but as soon as I let the waitress know of the problem, she swiftly came back with a freshly made one. I would’ve been fairly satisfied at that point, but then she comes back and let’s me know that my dish is on the house due to the mistake, and that I had to pay for none of it. Good food, and amazing customer service. Definitely would love to come back here again.

Omg.. i ordered dos diablos and tomato soup. It was marvellous. Ultimate comfort food. They know how to make grilled cheese to justice. Portion was good too, i was stuffed by the end. I was also taking a lot with a friend and taking time. Nice cozy atmosphere.

Cute place to have casual eats. Service was incredibly friendly. Food was well prepared and tasty. Mac and cheese is filling and you get what you paid for. Soup + salad was tasty but a little over priced. Homemade lemonade is a must try. Would recommend:

Warm and cozy, very welcoming and friendly staff. All dishes were perfect. Elcubano sandwich, Chicken pot pie, mushroom soup,and strawberry cheesecake. Could be five if the washrooms were cleaner.

Mmm. The crab bisque, kale ceasar and a side of cheesy macaroni sure hit the spot. Also, my friend who has food allergies was taken care of really well. Delicious food and fantastic service. Thank you Burgoo!

Ordered ahead for lunch and food was ready 5 minutes after arriving. French onion soup is consistently good, and the biscuits were bigger and tastier than ever. Great spot, especially on a rainy Tuesday.

The best comfort food I've had in a long time. Really tasty and really good service. The location is really good by Lonsdale quay. Perfect spot for lunch. The food was perfectly cooked and had that home style feel to it. Prices were not that bad but not the best either. Totally worth it though. Very cool atmosphere and music. I will definitely be back.

Food was great. Service was also great. My only comments would be the chairs could be a bit more comfortable and options for smaller cutlery

Perfect comfort food on a cold and snowy day. Cozy atmosphere and the live music was wonderful. Not too loud, and fit in with the relaxed mood of the restaurant.

Came here for lunch on a Monday, and it was surprisingly pretty busy, was taken care of right away. Staff was polite and friendly. The food was to die for!! I actually still have dreams about their mac and cheese. Definitely and amazing spot for comfort food in a cool atmosphere!

We were seated right away for a late lunch. Our server was very attentive and did a great job. I had the macaroni and cheese with added bacon and it was very tasty! My girlfriend had the BBQ pork & tater skillet. She said it was very good too!The decor and ambiance here is very relaxed and casual. I like it very much. This was my first visit, although I've been to the location on Main St a couple of times. Recommended!

Tasty little spot! We stopped in for some happy hour food, and we were pleasantly surprised. That cast iron nachos were delicious!

The food is super tasty. Huge plates for competitive prices. I left super full this restaurant. Their service must improve. We were forgotten by our waitress.

Good food. Not too busy. Great ambiance. Lovely servers. I recommend the chicken and brie sandwich. My partner loved the ratatouille. Perfect lunch spot near the longsdale quay.

Do yourself a favour and order the After School Special, with the Gooey Cheese Grillers and a Soup. I’ve not found a soup I didn’t LOVE at Burgoo, but I especially like the sunset corn and chicken. Oh, and don’t add bacon or cheese to the cheese griller. It’s perfect as-is.

Comfort food at its best. Menu revolves around soups, salads, sandwiches, and then comfort food like mac n cheese.

Possibly one of my favourite restaurants in the world. Such comforting food and always a friendly welcome. The sandwiches and soups can't be beaten.

Great comfort food. Generous portions, reasonably priced. Daily specials, check them out. No better place for a soup and sandwich. Service is good and efficient.

I've loved this place for years. Awesome salads in addition to their regular fare. My bread was burnt this time so I would ask for it toasted lightly if you value the roof of your mouth. I will keep going back!

Always good food with Burgoo. That being said, it seems like portion sizes have been getting smaller over time.

The ambiance at burgoo is so cozy and friendly. The food is homestyle and delicious ! Try their nachos ...you will be glad you did and won't eat them anywhere else once you have.

Great homestyle meals. Had the wings, Mac and cheese, and tomato soup. All were delicious. Will definitely be coming back! Great service even though it was quite busy. Food came out bubbling hot relatively quickly.
